Chelsea Symphony

Created in November of 2005 byyoung conductors Miguel Campos Neto and Yaniv Segal, The Chelsea Symphony isnow in its second full year. In its inaugural season of 2006-07, the orchestrapresented 17 concerts, including a complete cycle of Brahms symphonies andspecial performances at the United Nations and in Central Park.

Heralded as “one of the mostnoteworthy classical experiments in recent memory” and as an “inimitablecultural resource,” the Chelsea Symphony’s mission is to make new and greatmusic an integral part of everyday life in Chelsea. The Symphony’s musicianswork in an environment that fosters close, working relations and createsexciting performances of the highest quality

The Chelsea Symphony providesopportunities for gifted musicians to be part of a collective musical endeavorwhere each musician performs double, triple, or quadruple duty as an orchestralplayer, soloist, conductor and/or composer. The resulting environment fosters close, working relationships and createshigh quality, exciting performances in Chelsea.
